🚦 Do you know your pedestrian crossings? 🚶‍♂️

Zebra, Pelican, Puffin, Toucan… they might look similar, but they don’t all work in the same way.

Knowing how to recognise each crossing — and understanding what you’re expected to do as a driver — is an important part of becoming a safe and confident driver.

🎥 Watch the video for a quick guide to the different types of pedestrian crossings you’ll find on UK roads.

👀 Stay aware. Anticipate. Be ready to stop.

✨️🎉 An amazing first time pass 🎉✨️
A slightly delayed post to make sure Leanna could tell everyone herself. A massive congratulations passing at Wrexham test centre first time.

This has been a long time in the making and to even get to the test centre was an amazing achievement, but to go and smash it first time, even doing your nemesis reverse bay park at the end was an amazing result.

Happy and safe driving.

From Chris and the entire Rossett driving school/ New Driver Academy Team we wish you all the best for the road ahead. Stay safe and enjoy your new found freedom, and happy driving 🚗

🚗 What makes a good learner driver?

It's not being perfect. It's being willing to think, ask questions and learn from what happens.

Passing the test matters — but becoming a safe, independent driver matters much more.

And remember: you're having lessons because you're learning. You're allowed to get things wrong. 👍

⚠️ You can’t control what other drivers do — but you can control how you react.

Drivers may pull out, overtake dangerously, follow too closely or make unexpected decisions.

Don’t let someone else’s bad decision become yours. Stay calm, create space, and prioritise safety over proving who was right.

🎥 Watch the video for tips on dealing with dangerous drivers safely.

LITTLE WINS 🚗👏

Not every win ends with a driving test pass.

Sometimes it's finally getting that parallel park right.

Sometimes it's tackling a roundabout you've been nervous about.

Sometimes it's completing a lesson without needing any help from your instructor.

And sometimes it's simply finishing a lesson thinking, “I'm actually getting this now.”

Learning to drive is made up of lots of little wins — and they're all progress. 💪

What's been your biggest win while learning to drive?

🚗 Nervous about your first driving lesson?

You don't need to impress your instructor and you certainly don't need to already know how to drive.

That's the whole reason we're there. 😊

Everyone starts somewhere — and everyone learns differently.

What worried you most before your first lesson? 👇

Well done Aidan 🙂🥳🚗

✨️🎉 A very special pass, the end of the Roberts clan 🎉✨️
A massive congratulations to Aidan passing at Wrexham test centre.
It has been an absolute pleasure teaching all the Roberts boys from Reuben then Ianto to finally Aidan passing this week. It has been an honour to be part of the whole family's journey. I'll certainly miss our rugby chats putting the game to rights.

Now it's over to Mrs Roberts to cope with the littlest Windram. I think you got the bum deal there😂😂😂

From Chris and the entire Rossett driving school/ New Driver Academy Team we wish you all the best for the road ahead. Stay safe and enjoy your new found freedom, and happy driving 🚗

👀 Good driving isn't just about controlling the car.

A huge part of driving is noticing what's happening before it becomes a problem.

Look further ahead, keep checking what's happening around you and start asking yourself:
“What could happen next?”

The earlier you spot something developing, the more time you have to make a safe, controlled decision. 🚗

How good is your anticipation when you're driving?
