This BMW E46 is grassroots drifting in a nutshell. OMP seats. Harnesses. A hydraulic handbrake. Nothing too crazy. Just the essentials for getting sideways with your mates.
It reminds us a lot of skateboarding. Once it hit the Olympics, it gained legitimacy, money, and a whole new level of athlete. But somewhere along the way, it lost a bit of that punk edge. The DIY spirit that made it cool in the first place.
Same thing's happening with drifting. D1 and Drift Masters are serious motorsport now - high stakes, pro athletes, big budgets. And that's great. But grassroots is where the heart is. It's about the community. It's about learning together, making new friends, having a laugh, and celebrating the chaos without the pressure.
This BMW? A proper grassroots drift car. No massive sponsorship, no £100k build. Just the right bits to get sideways and have a good time.
And if you're building your own, we've got the parts to help realise your sideways dreams. OK, we know we don't do everything for drift cars but we do the race car stuff really well (it's our thing if you haven't noticed). Seats, harnesses, brakes, hydraulic handbrakes, turbos, ECUs, tyres, wheels, cages, diffs, steering wheels - because the race car DNA of a drift car is what makes it cool!
