Reminder: Carlow County Council’s In Person Public Consultation Event in relation to Church Street Pedestrian & Cycle Scheme takes place today Friday 26th June, from 3pm to 7pm in St Fiacc’s Hall, Graiguecullen, Carlow.
I would encourage everyone who lives in, works in or travels through the Church Street area of Graiguecullen, and any other interested parties to come along this evening.
The scheme consists of the construction of new and upgraded pedestrian and cycle infrastructure at Church Street, Graiguecullen.
The route is approx. 750m long, commencing at the Barrowvale Housing Estate in Co Laois and proceeding along Church Street serving Oakley Park, St. Fiacc’s National School (rear entrance) and Governey Park before extending to Sleaty Street and the entrance to Carlow Town Park.
The scheme also incorporates Safe Routes To School (SRTS) elements at the rear entrance to St. Fiacc’s National School.
This is your opportunity to find out more about the scheme, and discuss any queries or concerns that you may have one to one with those directly involved with the design of the scheme.
For those who cannot attend, the online Consultation Portal continues to have plans and particulars relating to the scheme available for inspection, which can be accessed at consult.carlow.ie and also a hard copy of the plans and particulars are available for inspection at the offices of both Carlow County Council and Laois County Council.
