Nestled between Dugort hill and Slievemore mountain this picturesque Park is situated in a sheltered and scenic part of Achill on the North side of the Island. Sandy banks and soft sand dunes lead down from the Park to Dugort Beach, the pier and the Blueway kayak trail. Paddle from Dugort Beach along the trail to the Golden Strand Beach past the seal caves and bird colonies. Slievemore mountain ha

s beautiful walks and is rich in history. The Achill Mission or the 'Colony', Megalithic tombs and the Deserted Village are all located on Slievemore. St. Thomas' Church and Heinrich Boll's Cottage are within a 5 minute walk.

July is around the corner, which means we now have a full week of music at The Valley House for the summer! From trad to acoustic to throwback songs you've been missing, we have you covered 🎶

The bar is open from 2:30pm every day, and we are serving bar food from 5-9pm every evening! 🍺🍔

Best of luck to all taking part in the Achill Half Marathon & 10K this weekend !! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

We will be running a water station here in front of the Park and welcome everyone to join us in supporting the amazing runners 🙌👏🎉💪🔥🤩

⚠️ IMPORTANT TRAVEL & REGISTRATION UPDATE ⚠️

The countdown is almost over! We can't wait to welcome you all to Achill for the Achill Half Marathon & 10K this weekend! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

🚧 Please allow extra travel time as there are currently roadworks on the N59 between Newport and Mulranny, with traffic lights in operation. If you're travelling to Achill on Friday or Saturday morning, please leave plenty of time for your journey to avoid any unnecessary stress before race day.

🗓 Friday: 3:00pm – 9:00pm
🗓 Saturday: 7:00am – 9:00am sharp
⏰ Registration closes at 9:00am sharp on Saturday. No registrations can be accepted after this time.

🏃 Race Start Times
🕤 10K: 11.15am
🕙 Half Marathon: 10:30am
