Most people don’t think about their commercial vehicle test (CVRT) unless it’s on their doorstep. It’s something you book, get through, and forget about for another year. If the vehicle feels fine and there are no obvious issues, it’s easy to assume there’s nothing to worry about.
The thing is, a lot of the faults that cause real issues on the road don’t show up in your day-to-day driving. Brakes wear gradually, tyres lose grip, and small mechanical issues build up in the background.
The CVRT exists because vehicles don’t stay safe on their own. The test is there to catch those issues early, before they turn into something serious for the driver or anyone else on the road.
