๐ฎ๐ช A Proud Day for Setanta Vehicle Importers
It was a privilege for our Setanta Vehicle Importers, Managing Director, Alfie Barker, to officially hand over two new Renault Trucks C520 6x4 Heavy Haulage Tractor Units to the Irish Defence Forces.
Pictured alongside Alfred are Colonel Brendan Norton, Director of Transport (left), and Commandant Niall Buckley, Fleet Manager (right).
Built to meet the demanding requirements of military operations, these C520 tractor units feature a bespoke specification including a 100-tonne+ GCW capability, custom hydraulic system, updated heavy-duty JOST sliding fifth wheels, steel front bumper system, NATO electrical connections, handcrafted in-house catwalk system, Voith retarder and a range of additional modifications designed to deliver exceptional performance in the toughest operating environments.
This project is a testament to the expertise and dedication of the Setanta team. A special thank you to Nigel Smith for the outstanding paintwork, and to our in-house workshop team for their exceptional craftsmanship in delivering the bespoke modifications. In particular, we'd like to recognise Ciaran Murphy, Marcus and Tim, whose hard work and attention to detail played a key role in bringing these vehicles to completion.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Colonel Brendan Norton, Commandant Niall Buckley, and everyone within the Irish Defence Forces for placing their trust in Setanta Vehicle Importers. It has been an honour to work with you on this important project.
As Renault Trucks continue to strengthen their presence within the Irish market, projects such as this demonstrate the capability, durability and versatility of the Renault Trucks range. Backed by the expertise, engineering and aftersales support provided by Setanta, these vehicles are proving themselves in some of the most demanding operating environments.
From everyone at Setanta, thank you once again, and we wish the Irish Defence Forces all the best with their new Renault Trucks.
