If you’ve stood in the stands at Punchestown you’ve probably noticed this boulder sitting in the middle of the viewing lawn. Kids sit on it and adults lean. Why is it there you ask? Well as tales go, when the track was being upgraded the ground team came across and attempted to remove a stone, which became a rock, which became this boulder. Dates back to……. Well it’s old, real real old and so they said it s been there longer than we have and left it. Seen some great racing that rock.
Every boulder is a rock, but not all rocks are boulders. The difference simply comes down to size and classification
