Guess below before hitting "See more"

This is an EV Battery.. Specifically, a 2021 Tesla Model 3 HV Battery that we sent out recently.

A typical EV battery weighs 500kg.

It contains lithium, cobalt, nickel and manganese.
By 2030, over 11 million tonnes of spent batteries will need processing.

Big news for our industry. The EU JUST confirmed a landmark agreement on new circularity rules covering the entire vehicle lifecycle; from design right through to end-of-life treatment.

The new regulation sets mandatory targets requiring at least 25% of plastics used in new vehicles to come from recycled material, with at least 30% of plastics from end-of-life vehicles to be recycled.

This is exactly what a licensed Authorised Treatment Facility does. We've been ahead of this curve for years. 🇮🇪💪🏻

We’re adding to our team of drivers and we’re on the hunt for a Recovery Vehicle/Tow Truck Driver. Here at DC Auto Spares, we offer collection of end of life, insurance and accident damaged vehicles from both private and commercial premises.

We want a positive, independent individual who is enthusiastic about the work we do. You should be flexible, adaptable, and have strong communication skills.
You must have a minimum C Class clean drivers license, and ideally have 2 years minimum recovery experience.

We know that running a car in Ireland is expensive 💸

Between insurance, fuel, tax, NCT and servicing, you're looking at thousands a year before anything even goes wrong.

So when something does need replacing (a wing mirror, a door panel, an engine part) why would you pay full price for a brand new OEM part when a tested, warrantied used one does the same job for 40–70% less?

It's a lot more involved than most people think, and it's a process we take really seriously.

From depollution (safely removing fluids, battery and airbags) to dismantling, testing, listing and eventually baling the shell, every step matters.

Ireland achieved a 99% vehicle recovery rate in 2024. Almost nothing goes to waste. We're proud to be part of that right here in Tipperary 💙💛
