RPM GARAGE RACING
FROM A FAMILY PASSION TO THE WORLD STAGE
RPM Garage Racing has become one of the rising names in Italian cross-country rallying. Founded by team principal Lorenzo Vianello, the team was born from a passion for off-road competition inherited from his father.
“It all started thanks to the passion passed down from my dad, who competed in off-road races in Italy,” explains Vianello. “A friend and I rebuilt an old Suzuki and entered the Italian off-road championship. That was the beginning of RPM Garage Racing, and in our first season we won the Italian title in our class.”
Over the following years, the team expanded its activities, adding new drivers and taking responsibility for the preparation and management of their vehicles. Today, RPM Garage Racing specializes in SSV competition, while also running two Suzuki Grand Vitara T2 cars.
“After five years we have found our direction,” says Vianello. “We are achieving strong results, meeting the expectations of our customers and continuing to grow. I am fortunate to work with a fantastic group of highly skilled mechanics who are always ready for new challenges.”
AT ITALIAN BAJA, THE TEAM WILL FIELD TWO CAN-AM MAVERICK X3S WITH AMBITIOUS CREWS.
Argentine driver Martin Cisella and Italian navigator Erika Mingozzi arrive with strong momentum. Cisella claimed overall victory in the 2024 Italian 4x4 Trophy and won the SSV category of the 2025 Italian Ice Challenge Championship before switching to cross-country rallying. He immediately impressed by finishing third overall in his first Italian Cross-Country Championship event. Together with Mingozzi, who brings international rally experience, the pair have become regular contenders for podium finishes and will use Italian Baja as their first FIA World Baja Cup appearance, with ambitions of future European and world championship campaigns.
The second RPM Garage Racing entry features experienced Italian rally driver Claudio Marenco alongside navigator Marina Melella. Marenco is well known from numerous appearances in the World Rally Championship and previously competed in cross-country events during the 1990s and 2000s, including Italian Baja. Joined by his wife and long-time co-driver, the duo returns to the discipline aiming to rebuild their experience and fight for a strong result in the national event.
