We are excited to share that CE is working with Pale Blue Dot Energy to deploy commercial Direct Air Capture projects in the UK! Our two companies aim to collaborate on the development of facilities that will contribute towards the removal of millions of tonnes of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere each year.

This is the first partnership between a DAC technology company and a UK development partner and marks the next step towards establishing a UK DAC industry that will create significant environmental and economic benefits.

Today, Carbon Engineering has some exciting news to share! We have signed a licensing agreement with 1PointFive, a development company formed by Oxy Low Carbon Ventures (a subsidiary of Occidental) and Rusheen Capital Management to finance and deploy our large-scale Direct Air Capture technology. This agreement is a major milestone for CE and will enable the commercial development of the world’s largest DAC facility, a first step toward our collective aspiration to deliver this technology on an industrial scale throughout the United States.

As announced in 2019, the engineering and design for this facility is already underway. Today, we are thrilled to share a ‘first look’ at the design of the plant which, when operational, will be the largest Direct Air Capture plant in the world, capturing up to one million metric tons of atmospheric CO2 annually.
