🔸 Pirms nedēļas piedalījos Latvijas RcOffroad Kauss 3.posmā Limbaži RC trasē.
Jāsaka, ka šogad laikam jau būs pierasts, ka laikapstākļu prognozes pirms sacensībām sola ne tās labākās😬. Galvā jau laicīgi noskaņojāmies, ka šī varētu būt slapjā dubļu gonka. Tomēr veiksme mums atkal uzspīdēja un sacensību dienā laiks bija labs☀️. No iepriekšējo dienu lietavām vēl bija palicis mazliet mitrs segums, bet pēc pirmajiem treniņu braucieniem tas jau bija pazudis un varējām sākt braukt ar pilnu jaudu.
🏎 Šogad Limbažu trasē veiktas nelielas izmaiņas. Pirmajā kvalifikācijā sanāca braukt diezgan piesardzīgi un centos apgūt pareizās trajektorijas. Otrajā kvalifikācijā jau vairāk domāju par ātrumu un mērķis bija uzlabot rezultātu. 🛞 Arī tika nomainītas riepas, lai saprastu, kas būtu labāks šai trasei. Pāris kļūdiņas un agresīvāka braukšana = labāku rezultātu otrajā kvalifikācijā tomēr nesanāca sasniegt❌. Šoreiz pirmais (piesardzīgais) brauciens izrādījās vislabākais.
Uz trešo kvalifikāciju pārsteigumu sagādāja elektronikas problēmas🙃. Tā arī netika atrasta problēma, bet liekās, ka pie vainas bija ESC vada savienojuma gals, kas kādā veidā nedabūja 100% kontaktu ar bateriju. Šo braucienu nācās izlaist.... Bet vismaz atlikušo dienas daļu šī problēma vairs neatkārtojās.
🏁 Finālus uzsāku no starta pozīcijas P5. Pirmais fināla brauciens ļoti interesants un spriedzes bagāts. Sīvā cīņā finišā P2🥳. Ļoti labs finālu sākums. Otrais fināla brauciens tikpat notikumiem bagāts un ar tikpat sīvām cīņām. Šoreiz P4, kas arī ir ļoti labi, bet tas nozīmē, ka lielākā cīņa par pjedestālu ir tikai priekšā🏆.
🌧 Sacensības ritēja tālāk, bet laikapstākļi sāka pasliktināties. Līdz nākamajam finālu braucienam jau bija sācis līt un ar to diemžēl arī diena beidzās. Te cerība par labāku rezultātu beidzās.
Šoreiz jāsamierinās ar P4 starp divpadsmit citiem 1/8 Open klases dalībniekiem✔️. Mazliet pietrūka līdz P3, bet šī būs kā motivācija nākamreiz pacensties vēl vairāk.
Par sasniegumu to nenosauksi, bet vismaz sanāca uzstādīt dienas ātrāko apļa laiku savas klases ietvaros😂. Kārtējā foršā pieredze un treniņš ar RC modeļiem👌.

🔸 A week ago I participated in the 3rd stage of the Latvijas RcOffroad Kauss at the Limbaži RC track.
This year I think we are getting used to the fact that the weather forecast before the races is not the best😬. We were already in the mood that this could be a wet mud race. However, luck was with us again and the weather was good on the race day☀️. There was still a little bit of wet surface from the rains from the previous days, but after the first training runs it had already disappeared and we were able to start driving at full power.
🏎 This year there have been some minor changes in the Limbaži track. In the first qualification I had to drive quite careful and tried to learn the right trajectories. In the second qualification I was already thinking more about speed and the goal was to improve the result. 🛞 The tires were also changed to understand what would be better choice for this track. A couple of mistakes and more aggressive driving = could not achieve a better result in the second qualification❌. This time the first (more cautious) run turned out to be the best.
The third qualification run started with a surprise with electronics problems🙃. The problem was not found either, but it seems that the end of the ESC wire connector was to blame, which somehow did not make 100% contact with the battery. This run had to be skipped.... But at least for the rest of the day this problem did not trouble me again.
🏁 I started final runs from P5. The first final race was very interesting and full of action. I finished P2 in a very close battle🥳. A very good start to the finals. The second final race was just as eventful and with just as close battles. This time P4, which is also very good, but it means that the biggest fight for the podium is just ahead🏆.
🌧 The race continued, but the weather conditions started to become worse. By the next final race it had already started to rain and unfortunately the day ended with that. That's where the hope for a better result ended.
This time I got P4 amongst twelve other 1/8 Open class participants✔️. We were a little short of P3, but this will be as a motivation to try even harder next time.
Cannot really call it an achievement, but at least I managed to set the fastest lap time of the day within our class😂. Another cool experience and training with RC models👌.
