A blanket of sadness.
Amidst the constant commercials that Sky constantly increases every year and now feeds us, beautifully inserting them during the live race broadcast, reducing the size of the live screen, practically without any restraint and without any protests from anyone, the Miami GP took place.
The was won by Mercedes without any updates and with an engine that whistles on the straights, thanks also to an Italian driver, Antonelli, to whom we offer our sincere congratulations.
I didn't expect such a performance from him and for him to practically destroy Russell, who would have had a chance of winning the championship this year.
And Ferrari? Ferrari is there, the car flies through the corners and the drivers, especially Leclerc, who works hard and tries everything, even in reverse, are there. Yes, but Ferrari doesn't win, not even if they're leading after a great start. Ferrari may win in Monaco, but wherever there are decent straights, Mercedes, McLaren and perhaps even Red Bull, which, despite expectations seems to have an excellent engine, risk being ahead of them.
If in June, when it might be too late, the FIA actually comes to a reckoning with Mercedes regarding engine control, even when hot, then everything could change, but for now, things are going as they have for our red cars for many years. A lot of smoke and very little action.
But we're not giving up hope because this year it seems like something better has been achieved than in previous years.
