Our licensed consultancy services does all the work for you: from finding your specified car to it being on Mauritian road after 6 weeks through all the procedures. It's you who chooses the model, specification and quality of your car. Every Mauritian Citizen can import a car every 5 years. Year of vehicle should be between 18 months and 4 years. How does it work? Contact us and state your desired preferences for a particular vehicle. We will then determine the best option to suit your needs and figure out the total price (Includes everything: cost of vehicle in Japan, freight, customs taxes, VAT, registration, our fees, etc...) except insurance. If you are satisfied with the approximate price quoted and want to proceed we will then begin searching for cars that fit your description either directly from reputed japan car dealers or if as agreed with you, from japanese auctions. When appropriate vehicles are found we will send you photos, first hand description including auction grades and expected total price which should be more or less the same as agreed price earlier. Please note that for japanese auctions we will never bid on a car for you without your full approval and designated budget. Ultimately the decision is yours and we will do our best to find you a car that closely matches your ideal vehicle. Once your vehicle is reserved (or purchased at auctions as agreed with you beforehand) an invoice will be emailed to you within 24 hours. For cars bought at auctions the full set of photos will be sent once the car reaches our holding yard which is usually 3-4 days after purchase. If reserved at dealers then you will get full set immediately. We will then proceed to apply and acquire the necessary import permits from the Ministry of Commerce together with all the needful documents. After the delivery of the import permit you will then be required to pay the FOB price of the vehicle directly to our Japanese car dealer
All paperwork necessary for export will be arranged and the car will be transported to the port for shipping. Cars are put on the first available ship usually 1-2 weeks after purchase. Please note that we only ship through RORO(Roll-On Roll-Off ships) which are specialized vehicle transportation ships instead of traditional cargo ships. This is done to ensure that the car remains in perfect condition during transport and does not need any repairs because of transportation inside a cargo. Cars Shipping times vary, but will generally take around 20-30 days. The entire process usually takes around 6 weeks from the date of purchase. We will continue to keep you informed of every step being undertaken. Upon the car arrival in Mauritius we will proceed to complete the formalities(shipping cost, customs tax, V.A.T., Registration fees , fitness etc) and we will go together to fetch the car from the customs yard. Usually this process takes one to three days. Whole of the above is included in the quotations we give you from the start. There is no other fees apart from the insurance that should be added.
