Love this thing. Rivian R2 is not only a jack of all trades but it’s also a master of many. Day to day the size is great for our family of 4. There’s a reason why the compact utility segment is the most popular in the industry. It’s even better when you fit a near midsize interior in a compact footprint.

We do miss the third row from our R1S’s at times when we have family or friends in town. But for the other 90% of the year this size does quite well for us. Kids bikes fit in the back. Drop all 5 windows for the beautiful fall weather breeze.

Four Wheel Steering / Rear Wheel Steering is no gimmick, at least in our long term 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐬-𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐳 𝐔𝐒𝐀 EQE SUV. This thing has a smaller turning radius than most compact cars out there. Seeing it on more EVs since they typically have long wheelbases to accommodate a big battery pack

Back when we had our BMW USA iX lease, it was pretty painless to transfer the remainder of the contract to a new owner. We listed the details on a forum, BMW Financial Services ran the approval on the buyer and handled the contract work, I helped with what turned out to be cheap shipping!

Is the Lucid Motors Gravity on your list? Lots of luxury features and spacious 3rd row. Swoopy design may not be for everyone. Lots of discounts and low interest finance rates too at the moment.

How much longer must we wait for the Scout Motors Inc. Traveler to arrive? As a design study they absolutely nailed the brief. Rugged and spacious, physical controls with premium yet “comfortable” materials. I’d still lean toward the EV rather than the Harvester gas generator model.
