BMW K100 Scrambler Red Thunder (1984) 😎✌️
Ready for the ride, soon providing the rebuild/parts list guide. My rebuild vision is to keep the engine as original as possible and no cutting on other parts. Of course lots have been replaced to get the scrambler look: steering bar, seat, lights, exhaust and tires. Keeping the gas tank in the original Baja Red Metallic was the right choice and the “brick engine” is painted black, same as wheels. Some minor repairs and fresh oils to finish the machine! 🛠️ 📷 ...

Get • How it started is a fact now … how to continue needs some thoughts. This is just for fun and I don’t have much time due to my current job as commercial director. I think I will sell the BMW R100 Custom Bobber and also sell the classic RS77. This will give some space and cash for video equipment starting my YouTube channel where I will fully rebuild a Honda CB900 into a Cafe Racer, keeping my first rebuild the RONS1 Blue Hawk as an example. What do you think? 🤔 ...

Status update K100: at first the bike wouldn’t start, it did not get fuel, the pump in the gastank was not working. Rechecking with direct 12V power it suddenly moved again, reconnected it and … the bike started! (video at the end). Also put new spark plugs in just to be complete and finished the lights and indicator connections.
Waiting for new license plate and we are ready to test ride the complete finished BMW K100 Scrambler RONS3 😎✌️...

Status update K100: the last details, you might have recognized a few parts were still missing, however now we have new mirrors and tail light both from - also the license plate holder and horns arrived from .eu - now need to connect rear light, indicators and license plate led to the oem wiring to make it all work. The motorcycle got new oil, cooling and brake fluids. In the last picture you see all the parts which came of the bike, estimated ~30 kg going to be scrapped 😎 Final chapter coming soon, hopefully a fully running cool BMW K100 Scrambler, the RONS3 ✌️...

Summer has arrived, and so has the next chapter.
The bikes are moving into their new home, one trailer at a time. Huge thanks to good friends who are always ready to lend a hand when it matters!
