💡 SMALL BULB. BIG DAMAGE! 😱

This Kawasaki Z400G speedometer arrived with a seized odometer. The cause? An aftermarket 12V 21W bulb where a 12V 3.4W OEM bulb should have been fitted!

The result: a cracked bulb, melted internals and a jammed mechanism. 🔥

After a full repair, it’s looking and working like new again. ✨

⚠️ Just because a bulb fits doesn’t mean it’s right!
Always use the correct OEM bulb specified for your instruments. For this Z400G, that’s 12V 3.4W.

🛒 Correct OEM bulbs are available in my webshop. Save yourself a lot of trouble and an expensive repair!

Faded by the sun, brought back to life. ☀️🔧

Years of UV exposure had faded the dial of this Honda CB1100RC oil temperature gauge. To bring back its original appearance, I created a high quality replacement dial face with crisp, vibrant markings.

After a complete overhaul, this little gauge looks as good as new again and is ready for many more miles. 🏍️

What do you think of the transformation?

Restored to match. 🔧

This Honda CB750K1 speedometer came in for a complete rebuild, with a specific goal: to match the patina of a Norwegian customer’s NOS tachometer as closely as possible.

That takes custom work. I made a new reproduction dial in my own workshop, carefully matching the colour and printing to complement the original tachometer.

Inside, I found some familiar problems with these instruments: rust and a worn mechanism. Looking right is only part of the job, so the internals needed just as much attention.

The result? A fully rebuilt speedometer that looks at home beside its NOS companion, with the character of a classic instrument.

CBX1000 gauges, back to life! 🔥

Faded markings, tired internals and brittle needles… time for some care in the workshop.

This set of three individual Honda CBX1000 instruments has been serviced and restored, bringing back those unmistakable bright orange details. The close up shows just how fragile the original needles can become after decades of ageing.

Watch the transformation from before to after! 👀

CB750K1 MPH gauges, back to life! 🏍️✨

Original patina or a fresh factory look? Every owner has their own preference, and both have their charm.

For this set, the aim was a fresh finish paired with a thorough internal service. Inside the tachometer, metal fatigue had caused the light deflector to break off. There was more to this restoration than meets the eye!

Now restored and ready for the road, this pair is heading back to its owner in the USA tomorrow! 🇺🇸📦
