Molenschot was in full swing, and the field repairs were already part of the fun.
A broken rear light, an exhaust getting knocked back into shape, and five people standing around like this was a completely reasonable way to spend the day.

Hands dirty, tools in the grass, and nobody even pretending this counted as bad luck.
That is meeting life with a UAZ, half driving, half repairing, and all of it somehow a good time.

Winter in Kyrgyzstan does not care if you are ready.
Snow everywhere, a line of rough old buses pushing through, and a sled bouncing behind like this was always the plan.

Cold hands, frozen roads, and the Bukhankas looking completely at home in the chaos.
It is hard, loud, and a little ridiculous, which is probably why it feels so good.

Kyrgyzstan looks almost too big for an old Bukhanka, and that is exactly what makes it good.
Endless landscapes, tiny tracks, and this stubborn little box just dragging itself through the middle of it all.

From above it looks peaceful, but inside it is still noise, rattles, and someone pretending not to hear a new sound.

That is the charm of it, unreal views outside, pure old UAZ business inside.

Spaarnwoude kept it dry for once, so instead of mud we got dust, summer light, and Bukhankas climbing that hill like they had something to prove.

People laughing, vans rattling, and enough loose sand in the air to make everyone look a little more legendary than they really are.

No drama, no deep bogs, just a good meeting, a fun climb, and the usual old UAZ confidence mixed with questionable mechanics.

Some weekends do not need mud to be memorable.

Two Bukhankas out in eastern Georgia looks like a bad idea from far away and a perfect plan once you are in it.

Dust on the windows, badlands all around, and both vans carrying on like every strange noise is just part of the soundtrack.

Nothing out here is soft, easy, or polished, which is probably why it suits them so well.
Just two stubborn boxes rolling through a landscape that feels bigger than common sense.

Leende was going great until the 4x2 Bukhanka remembered it had limits.
One van buried in the sand, ten people laughing, and at least three giving very confident advice from a safe distance.

Nobody looked surprised, because this is exactly the kind of teamwork these meetings are built on.
A little stuck, a little dusty, and still somehow a perfect day out.
