HQ renovation part 5.

This week we fixed the roof.

Every tile was checked by hand, more than 400 tiles were added, holes were patched, and the complete center ridge of the roof was replaced with fresh cement.

Hopefully this means no more water leaks, because before this even sunlight was coming through in some places.

Now it’s time to focus on fixing and selling some cars, so we can make space and budget for the next renovation steps.

HQ renovation part 4.

We fixed the side walls and sprayed them white with an airless paint sprayer instead of rollers. That made the job way faster.

Now both side walls are done, and we can finally continue with the roof.

HQ renovation part 3.

We repaired the front wall, secured the cracks with metal beams, filled the holes and painted everything white.

A big milestone, because now we can finally start to see how the rest of the building will look.

Even in 36 degrees we keep renovating, between answering emails, and packing orders.

Part 2 of the HQ renovation.

This time we bought some more paint and finally gave the office a fresh look, both inside and outside.

We also installed the new ceiling, prepared everything for the electrical work, and added mirror foil to the windows for a bit more privacy and a cleaner look.

There is still a lot to do before the building becomes the HQ we have in mind, but every small step brings it closer.

We parked our mini bikes on top of the office, but of course we had to take them for a quick ride.

We finally started renovating our new business building.

Between packing orders, project cars, travelling and customer care, we try to find as much time as possible to work on our new HQ.

The building still needs a lot of work, and it will take some time before it looks the way we have it in our heads. But step by step, we are getting there.

We started with the small office. The walls were in very bad condition, so we stripped everything back, replastered them the Spanish way, removed the old ceiling and picked up paint for the next step.

In part 2, we will paint the office and install the new ceiling.

Hopefully we can find more time soon to keep pushing this project forward.

Today we visited .nation in The Netherlands 🇳🇱

A great day surrounded by a variety of high quality MK2 builds from the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium.

It was really nice to catch up with old friends and familiar faces, and also to meet new like minded people.

This is what the MK2 scene is all about: passion, quality builds, and great people.
