Meet Nick Trott

If you've called, emailed or dropped into Camco recently, there's a good chance you've already met Nick.
As our Business Support Manager, Nick is the engine room behind the Sales team. While the crew are out on the road, he's back at base pulling together quotes and pricing, looking after walk-in customers, responding to phone and email enquiries, and running on-site product demonstrations. Safe to say, he keeps plenty of plates spinning.

When asked what he enjoys most about the job, the answer was simple:
"The quality and functionality of the Camco products... they sell themselves."

Favourite Camco Product?
Nick reckons the RollaTable Xtra is hard to beat. "Your knees will thank you!"
But when it comes to clever engineering, the LaddaLok takes the prize.
"Our design guys are incredible. I still don't know how they worked that mechanism out!"

Outside of Camco... Nick swaps vehicle fit-outs for boxing gloves. He's a licensed NZ Amateur Boxing Coach and spends five nights a week coaching at Nabby's Boxing Gym.
He still jumps in the ring himself too... although, in his words, his greatest talent these days is "imitating a punching bag."

Dream Adventure...
A carry-on backpack and a one-way ticket to a country where nobody speaks English.

PROGRESS UPDATE!
Things are really starting to take shape!

Our new Camco HQ is coming together, and every time we visit the site, it gets a little more exciting. Progress has been rolling along nicely, and it's awesome to see the vision becoming reality.

This new facility will give us the space we need to keep growing, improve our production capabilities, and continue building the quality vehicle fit-outs we're known for.

We're counting down the months until we can officially move in at the end of this year. There's still plenty of work to do, but we can't wait to share the journey with you.

We've been busy refining the Camco Stealth Canopy and Cantilever Roof Tray with a range of smart new optional upgrades and standard features designed to make your ute work even harder.
Here's what's new:
✅ Integrated Digital Rear Vision Camera – Crystal-clear rear visibility on demand via a mirror-mounted display.
✅ Redesigned Rear Load Roller – Tucked neatly within the roof tray profile while still extending beyond the rear door, making it easier to load long items without risking damage to your canopy.
✅ New Passive Roof Vent – No switches, no maintenance. The Venturi design creates positive pressure inside the canopy to help keep dust out, while a built-in foam filter keeps the air clean.
✅ Upgraded Cantilever Roof Tray – Heavy-duty crossbars now accept standard roof rack accessories, while the new rubber infill provides extra grip to help keep loads secure.

Fieldays 2026 is done and dusted...

And after a week to decompress, we've finally had a chance to reflect on what was an incredibly successful and busy week for the Camco team.

Of course, it's easy to focus on the four days of Fieldays itself, but anyone who's exhibited knows the real work starts weeks (and months!) beforehand. From building display vehicles and planning the site, right through to setup, there’s a huge amount that happens behind the scenes.

One of the perks of being based just down the road in Cambridge was that we could take our time packing down the site throughout the week last week, rather than rushing it all out on Saturday evening!

Looking back, one of the biggest highlights was the people. We had countless great conversations with tradies, fleet managers, ute owners, recreational users, dealers, suppliers and industry contacts about their vehicle fit-out requirements, future projects and new ideas.

And of course, we can't forget the Camco Big Fireplace. It quickly became a popular meeting spot throughout the week, with plenty of bacon butties, sausages, warm hands and even warmer yarns shared around the fire.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by the Camco and Ford sites during the week. We genuinely appreciate your support and the opportunity to help solve your vehicle fit-out challenges.

Now it's time to turn our attention to the next event in a few weeks' time... but we'll be ready to do it all again for Fieldays next year! Bring on 2027!
