Wow what a start to the year it has been. Waughbro Mechanical is in full swing with lots on the go already. We have a good variety to keep us busy, with a range of mechanical, air conditioning and hydraulic servicing and repairs.

Waughbro Mechanical has reached its first big milestone and we are celebrating our 1 year anniversary today (3rd March) since opening the door.

Waughbro Mechanical wants to give a massive shout out to our customers and a huge THANK YOU. If it was not for all of you, we couldn't do what we do. We appreciate you all and excited for what the next year brings.

We hope you all are happy with the service you have been receiving and looking forward too continuing working with you all in 2026.

As 2025 comes to a close, I would like to say a massive thank you to all our customers for all your support this year. Our first 10 months in business has been an awesome ride with you all. We couldn't have done it, without any of you. We are so excited to see what 2026 brings us, and excited to hopefully work with you all again. I wish everyone an awesome time with family and friends during this festive period and enjoying a well deserved break. Waughbro Mechanical will be back in full swing from the 5th of January 2026. Looking forward to hearing from you all.

Waughbro Mechanical is out and about today. We are currently in Spreydon, Christchurch, completing a service on a Nissan Navara D40. Thank you to NAPA in Hornby, Christchurch, for supplying the filters and Vertex Oils for supplying our oil. Waughbro Mechanical appreciates everything our suppliers do for us so we can supply quality parts to our customers.

Waughbro Mechanical have been very busy since our last post. We have had lots of variety coming through the door to keep our mechanic on deck busy. Some of our jobs have consisted from a transfer box and centre driveshaft bearing repair on a McCormick Tractor, Clutch replacement on a Isuzu Elf, Hydraulic hose replacement a silage wagon. We have had a few quad bikes come in for servicing and repairs. Had a couple of Loaders come through, one for a hydraulic hose replacement and one for a drivebelt, tensioner and idler pulley replacement after the belt shredded and wrapped itself around the pulleys . We have a digger with starting issues due to a block gauze in the fuel line, causing fuel not to reach the injector pump and filling the fuel system with air in the process. We have had some trucks come through for pre COF inspections, with one requiring a little list of repairs. Have had a couple of passenger vehicles with a different repairs, one with an temperature gauge not working and requiring both temperature sensors to be replaced, and one for WOF repairs and an electrical fault repair, requiring the lower control arm bushes and transfer case control module needing to be replaced. Waughbro Mechanical has even had the chance to complete repairs on a few smaller machines, with two zero turn lawn mowers requiring servicing and blade replacement. A 350kg plate compactor coming to us with starting issues. We found the battery was flat on inspection due to the regulator been burnt out and the engine not starting due to been well over due for a service, fresh oil, cleaned oil filter (oil filter is washable), fuel filter replaced, new drive belt for the compactor and a new regulator fitted with fresh wiring and the machine is running like a dream. We have had so much more through the door, no day is the same.

Waughbro Mechanical has had a busy couple of weeks with lots going on, no day has been the same. With a nice range of work to keep us busy, We have had a DPF/EGR fault on a 2007 Toyota Hiace van, which resulted in the removal of the DPF and EGR, both were sent away for cleaning, to a John Deere tractor having a piece of kale damage the bottom tank of the radiator and drive belt causing the tractor to break down in the middle of a paddock, we removed the radiator and drive belt, and had the bottom tank repaired, sourced a new belt. Have had a couple of services on the go ranging from a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee, too a 1995 Nissan Atlas. We currently have a ram away off a New Holland tractor for repair, after the top cap broke off the ram itself for the front end loader. Had some nice jobs to fill in space along the way too, with a welding repair job on a Komatsu PC200 muffler after the exhaust tip broke off and lots more.

Waughbro Mechanical is now officially 3 months in, and what an awesome ride it has been so far. We have been busy, with a nice range of jobs on the go. Exciting times for us here. Our jobs since our last post have been ranged from, an air con pump replacement on Isuzu NPR, ongoing work on a farm ute, with a replacement clutch, front brake pads, exhaust repair, service and much more. Have replaced a radiator and thermostat on a Jeep Grand Cherokee, have had a couple of services on a couple of little Toyota Toyoace and a pre COF. Had a job on a Toyota Wish replacing a rocker arm control module, and we have completed a hydraulic oil flush on a Komatsu PC220, this same machine had a fault with not turning off from the key, we had great success is diagnosing this fault and repairing. One happy customer. The job's have kept coming and no day is the same.

Has been a busy first month and half out in business. I thought it was time for another post, wee bit overdue infact. Since our last post we have had so much going on from completing the manifold and turbo repair on an Komatsu PC200. Have had some AC services on a John Deere tractor, a Volvo and Scania truck. Had a blower motor replacement and AC service on a Case tractor. We had a weld repair come in for broken guard mount on mulcher off a tractor, WOF repairs on a Toyota Caldina, Oil leak on an AU ford Falcon and ongoing work with an AC repair on a Kubota KX 161 and so more. Please give us call with any mechanical and AC repairs!!

Been a busy first week for Waughbro Mechanical. We have been out repairing an exhaust and rusted out turbo on a Komatsu PC200, Also getting the AC working again on a Mercedes Sprinter van, Diagnosing a transmisson fault on a JCB pivot steer and more, Overall it's been an exciting first week on the road, cant wait for next week.
