With two New Zealand factories and a community of over 150 team members, Action Manufacturing has been named the largest vehicle manufacturer in the country and today we proudly change the way our partners access the globe. Since then we've gained strength from being under the umbrella of two iconic New Zealand companies, Tourism Holdings Limited and Kea Manufacturing.

We were honoured to be invited to Fairfield Reserve this week to meet with MP Chris Hipkins and share more about the incredible work being done through the Fairfield Project.

As proud contributors to the project four times each year, it was a great opportunity to talk about who Action Manufacturing is, why community involvement remains such an important part of our business, and the positive impact we've been able to make alongside an amazing group of organisations and volunteers.

More importantly, the visit shone a light on the Fairfield Project itself. The work being done to support local whānau and strengthen the community deserves recognition, and we're proud to play a small part in helping that mission continue.

We welcome every opportunity to share these stories with people who want to learn more about the challenges and successes within our communities. Projects like Fairfield are making a real difference, and the more awareness they receive, the better.

Thank you to everyone involved for continuing to champion such a worthwhile initiative.

What does it take to turn a standard vehicle into a motorhome, mobile workspace, or emergency response unit?

Last week, more than 50 visitors from across the WECA (Waikato Engineering Careers Association) network joined us at Action Manufacturing to find out.

Visitors gained first-hand insight into how our team combines engineering, fabrication, electrical expertise, and design innovation to create custom vehicle solutions that serve industries across New Zealand.

Just as importantly, the visit created valuable conversations between educators, employers, and industry leaders about developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople. Opening our doors is about more than showcasing what we build. It's about sharing knowledge, inspiring future talent, and strengthening industry connections.

Thanks to everyone who attended, and to WECA for helping create stronger connections between education and industry!

Another one ready to roll. 🚑✨

Our second Paediatric PTS vehicle for St John is now complete and ready to support young patients across New Zealand.

The colourful graphics throughout the vehicle help turn a clinical environment into something a little friendlier, and we're incredibly proud of the work our Sign Shop team has done to make every panel, cabinet and surface look sharp, vibrant and inviting.

Combined with another quality build from our production team, this vehicle is a great example of what can be achieved when talented people across multiple departments come together with a shared purpose.

Good coffee tastes even better when it does a little good, too ☕

Since partnering with Kaipaki Dairies in 2021, we've enjoyed fresh Waikato milk in the Action kitchen for coffees, cereal, and everything in between, while helping reduce unnecessary waste through Kaipaki's reusable bottle programme.

Founded on the idea that great milk doesn't need single-use packaging, Kaipaki delivers farm-fresh milk in reusable glass bottles that are collected, washed, and used again, creating a simple circular system that keeps waste out of landfill.

Between January and June this year alone, our team helped prevent the production of 3,840 single-use one-litre plastic milk bottles, representing around 5.8% of the collective impact achieved through Kaipaki's customers during that period.

It's a simple change that delivers real benefits: less plastic, less waste, great quality local milk, and another way we're making sustainability part of our everyday decisions.

We're incredibly proud to have built this groundbreaking mobile mammography unit for BreastScreen Aotearoa.

As New Zealand's first self-drive mobile mammography unit, this innovative vehicle is designed to reach communities that traditional trailer-based screening units cannot easily access. By travelling further into remote and hard-to-reach areas, it will help bring vital breast screening services closer to more wāhine, reducing barriers to early detection and potentially life-saving care.

The Action team was honoured to attend the karakia and official launch at North Shore Hospital, where we heard the inspiring stories of the many passionate people who contributed to making this project a reality.

Named Manu Tāiko, the vehicle carries special significance. Referring to a bird that acts as a vigilant sentry for its flock, the name symbolises protection, guidance, and watchfulness. Just as the Manu Tāiko keeps watch over others, this unit will help support the health and wellbeing of wāhine by bringing essential screening services to communities that need them most.

We're grateful to have played a part in such an important project and look forward to seeing the positive impact Manu Tāiko will have for wāhine throughout Aotearoa.

Another successful Action Manufacturing planting day for the Fairfield Project!

A group of our Action crew got stuck in the mud… literally.

Alongside dedicated volunteers from the Fairfield Project, our crew planted 600 native trees and shrubs to support the restoration of Kukutaaruhe Gully.

From harakeke and hukihuki in the wet marshes to the mighty mātaī and tōtara on the steep banks. It was muddy work - but well worth it!
