We were chuffed to hand this rig over to the Tangihau Angus team recently, and it’s come up a treat. Sold by Sales Manager, Dion Butler it has all the bells and whistles needed for the job!

The Isuzu FXZ350 6x4 was the obvious choice for the kind of country they’re running – sometimes steep, unforgiving hill country spread over about 6,653 hectares up behind Ngātapa, a good 30km inland from Gisborne. Anyone who’s driven around Waerenga-o-Kuri, Waimata or out towards Matawai knows gear needs to be tough and simple, and this truck ticks those boxes.

The main job for this unit is shifting their top-end Angus bulls, whether that’s around the farm or heading down the road towards Te Karaka or out of town. The custom Delta stock crate is built solid and does the job properly. It’s a handy bit of kit too – can be set up as a two deck unit when the sheep need shifting, which makes it useful year round rather than sitting in the shed.

The tipping deck with alloy dropsides will see plenty of action as well. Whether it’s spreading metal on farm tracks after a big East Coast dump, carting fert, or running feed out to stock in winter, it’s built to earn its keep. All up, it’s a no nonsense truck that suits the country and the job – just what you need out here.

Deakin Trucks had the privilege of delivering a fully customized FSD700 Auto to Rob Jones and the team at Nationwide House Movers last year. After numerous conversations, meetings, and design refinements, we created the ultimate support truck tailored specifically for the demanding needs of the house moving industry. This truck was engineered to do everything required on the job — and more.

Designed with functionality at the forefront, the unit features extensive storage solutions for every tool imaginable, from boot cleaners to a Gasmate BBQ so the crew can enjoy a well-earned hot breakfast after a long night on site. A twin outlet inverter with USB charging was installed to provide essential on site power, along with integrated night lighting throughout all toolboxes for after dark operations.

Hydraulic jack storage was purpose built for easy access and removal, and all hoses were given their own dedicated compartments. The lift control system allows the controls to be safely stowed beneath the deck when not in use, keeping everything secure and out of the way.

The rear tray area offers ample dunnage storage, with a forward section designed to carry the Boxer 322D skid-steer to and from site. Custom aluminum ramps accompany the unit, stored neatly within the main toolbox. Additional features include a removable tow bar, CB radios, hand wash units, auger mounts, and a slide out vice — all engineered to support the team on every job.

This build was a true team effort from Deakin Trucks Engineering. Special thanks go to Shaun at Hydramedic for providing the extensive hydraulic solutions and to Junior at Joburg Autoworkx for completing the extensive emergency lighting work that will keep this truck highly visible on the road at night and light up the worksite when stationary.

Great things come in small packages!

When Joseph and Melissa of Joseph Rawlins Hardscape needed a new truck to replace their trusty old Isuzu ELF, they got advice from local business owners who are already in the Isuzu gang and this NLR 250 Factory Tipper is what ended up in the fleet!

Being in the concrete business, the truck needed to be tough and stand up to the hard treatment that comes with the trade. Carrying tools, carting aggregates and towing diggers are all in a days work for Joseph and this NLR250 tipper!

The little Tipper is seen here with added tow bar, tinted windows, reverse camera and some sharp graphics. If you spot Joseph around the Thames Valley/Coromandel area, give him a wave 👋

It was a pleasure to handover this great looking new Euro 6 Isuzu NMR250M to Jamie and the crew at Altherm Window Sytems in Napier recently. We were able to match the longer Wheelbase and Narrow Rear Track Width from their old truck to suit their specialized body design.
With all the latest and greatest Electronic Safety Features, along with a much more comfortable ride, Android/Apple Carplay and Bi-LED Headlights with Day Time Running Lights, we really look forward to seeing this sharp looking unit on the roads around Hawkes Bay.
