Last week Marty, Annie and Michael attended the CRA Conference and AAAA Expo in Melbourne to check out the latest technology, industry knowledge and aftermarket products shaping the collision repair industry.
It was a valuable few days of networking, catching up with suppliers, and connecting with others across the industry while gaining insight into the future of repair and refinishing.

🕷️ Ever noticed tiny crack-like lines or bumps that look like a spider under your vehicles paint? That’s spider rust — and yep, it looks exactly like a spider creeping across your vehicle.

Spider rust happens when rust gets under your paint coming from the steel creating those web-like cracks.

Left alone, spider rust doesn’t just sit there looking ugly — it keeps spreading and can eventually eat into the metal underneath.

Good news: Catch it early and it’s fixable! A bit of sanding, treating the rust, and repainting can stop it in its tracks.

The majority of the rust repairs on this camper were due to spider rust - barely noticeable with the paint on but once we got in there, you can see the extent of the treatment needed.

If you see little “spider legs” or bumps in your paint, don’t ignore them — that’s your van asking for help!
