On this day, June 16th 1903, Ford Motor Company was founded in Detroit by Henry Ford and a small group of investors.

The company had spent almost all of its $28,000 cash investment by the time it sold the first Ford Model A on July 23, 1903. But by October 1, 1903, Ford Motor Company had turned a profit of $37,000.

Over 2 million dollars in today’s terms!

Last week, we were proud to present this comically large cheque for $12,000 to the Wellington Hospitals Foundation! β›³πŸ’™

The funds were raised during our Charity Golf Day earlier this year, and we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who contributed and helped make the event such a success.

We know this contribution will help support the incredible work the Wellington Hospitals Foundation does for patients, whānau, and our wider community every day.

A special thank you to Shona Brunton and Guy Ryan for coming down to collect the cheque, and for all the amazing work they and the team do behind the scenes.
