Eileen's Driving Lessons I have been an Instructor for over 7 years and been part time instructing since moving to the Wairarapa in July 2018.

I am now full time and am based in Carterton and more than happy to come to you or meet in Masterton.

I am so sorry I have been flat out that I have not jumped on here to brag about the following:

Pippa, Carlo, Ella, Logan B, Logan J, Poppy, S-J, Evie, Mea, Riley...

All these wonderful students have passed their full and restricted licence tests!!!

Congratulations to them all (and those who I have not mentioned).

I am flat out and LOVING IT! I appreciate everyone of my students and their parents 🥰.

Have an amazing rest of the week and good luck to everyone who have exams shortly.

Over the past 2 weeks the following amazing students have passed their restricted licence tests:
Topaz, Rico, Eden, Tatum.
Those who passed their full licence tests are Webb, Charlie and Angus.

Please drive safely. Remember 35 demerits (and 6 months extra) if you are stopped by the cops and you have passengers in the car (who do not have a full NZ licence for 2 years or more).

I appreciate all my students and their parents. 😊😇🥰

Since last week Corbin, Fraser, Evelyn, Kaitlyn, Lindi and Sinead have all passed their restricted tests and Taylor and Lara have passed their full licences.

It has been a while... Over the past few weeks the following lovely young people have passed their restricted tests:
Harriett, Ryan, Bella, Madison, Lucy O, Jazmyn, Carys, Fraser, Josh and Zoe.

Full licence passes are Charles and Lara. I am sure there are others but they didn't let me know 🤣

Congratulations to all of you! Thank you for choosing me to teach you.

Just a heads up for those who have only recently obtained their Learner Licence.

This is from NZTA -

Licence period changes start to come into effect
We’re 6 months away from the new driver licensing system going live - and people going through the system now could be affected by the changes on 25 January 2027.

If you already have a learner or restricted licence on that day, the new rules and licence periods will apply to you.

That means if you gain your learner licence on or after 25 July this year and you’re under 25, your learner period will extend from 6 to 12 months on 25 January.

If you got a learner licence before 25 July this year you will be eligible to sit your restricted test before 25 January under the current 6-month learner period.

If you don't pass your test and move onto your restricted licence before 25 January, your learner period will be extended to 12 months on that day.

If you gain your restricted licence from 25 July and you’re under 25, your restricted period will shorten from 18 to 12 months on 25 January if you have a clean driving record.

These changes will rebalance the licensing system by giving learner drivers more supervised driving experience, without increasing the overall time to move from a learner to a full licence.

Learners will be able to reduce their learner period back to 6 months by completing an approved learner licence course or logging supervised driving hours.

Last week Bailey passed his restriced and this week Sithmi, Seren and Crystal all passed theirs! Well done everyone 😊

Remember: 35 demerits if stopped by the cops and you are carrying passengers (and the passenger in the seat next to you does not have a full licence for 2 years or more) also adds on 6 months to holding your restricted....
