1994 Lamborgini Diablo V12

Vehicle came in for running issue. Suspected an overfueling issue.

Started by a pre-dyno check and test. Completed multiple tests on engine health. Inspect compression and engine timing.

Used the Autel Ultra scope to complete a relative compression test. Inspected all electronic sensors for funtionality and balance due to the fact that the Lamborgini V12 is fitted with 2 ECU's to operate the V12 system.

After completing all our basic tests we came to the conclusion that the ECU system injector pulses were approx. 40% wider than they ought to be. That is due to the fact that the ECU's might have been tuned for different types of fuel for track racing purposes in Japan.

Taking into account that the ECU's are from the 1994 era, OBD flash tuning is not an option on this ECU's. We decided to use the Dastek Unichip, custom installed.

We intervened both the manifold pressure sensor input voltages through the Unichip, to manipulate the calculated airflow to the ECU's so that the ECU's can adjust the injector pulses to lean out the fuel mixtures.

We also clamped onto the lambda output voltages to complete a close loop cycle on the fuel system.

Francois completed a live tune on the dyno.

Afterwards, we returned the vehicle to a happy customer who can now enjoy his vehilce after a 8 year struggle. All due to the over fueling issue!
