Meet Jag, our Territory Manager for North/ West Auckland and Northland who loves making a difference on site. With nearly three years at Trenchmate and experience working around civil projects, he brings practical know-how, calm problem-solving, and a “keep it simple, get it done” approach to every job.
Q. How long have you worked at Trenchmate, and what got you into it?
A. Almost three years as a truck driver, mostly supporting civil projects – moving materials, coordinating with crews, and understanding how jobs really run. I wanted a hands-on career where I could see real, standout results.
Q. Favourite part of the job?
A. Solving problems and making a real difference – it’s awesome that Trenchmate’s mission is to keep crews safe when they’re working in deep trenches.
Q. What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about what we do?
A. People are usually surprised how much engineering and planning goes into our shoring – ground conditions, depth, width and ground pressure – it all has to be right before you even put a box in the ground. Our products keep people safe and jobs running.
Q. Customer service philosophy?
A. Make things easy for the customer: clear communication, no mucking around, and get them what they need on time.
Q. Project you’re proud of?
A. A complex trenching job with stormwater, sewer, and live services all in one trench. Litemate sheet piles and careful planning kept everything running smoothly, and the client was stoked.
