It’s been a hot minute since I rode down middle road outta Havelock North. Definitely picked the right bike for the job.
As there was no Moto2 this weekend at the island, I bought one with me.

One of these is not like the other. Sometimes it’s hard to spot a fake.

Online marketplaces can be an absolute minefield of s**tty gear.

Thank you Dr Chris and the awesome team down at the lab doing the science mahi so I can ride with confidence that when my talent runs out my gear steps up.

A busy weekend for Alex, Scott & Chris delivering two Basic Motorcycle Maintenance courses across Auckland.

Saturday saw us at the University of Auckland, where we were invited along by the University of Auckland Motorsport Club. A fantastic group of enthusiastic riders keen to learn more about looking after their bikes.

Sunday took us to Motomail for another hands-on session, with plenty of questions, practical learning and a few dirty hands along the way!

A massive thank you to Auckland Transport and Auckland Council for making these courses possible and continuing to support rider education.

Everyone walked away with a little more knowledge, some new practical skills and, most importantly, the confidence to have a go at maintaining their own motorcycles.

Thanks to everyone who came along, got involved and made both days such a success!

How long will gear advertised to you via Temu, Insta, Facebook marketplace last when you really need it?

Check out the MotoCap website for all the specs on gear before you buy.

Thanks to my mate Dr Chris and the team at Deakin Institute for Frontier Materials for the invite.

Carolyn, AKA “Doodle” also had her eyes opened hanging out with the team here.

Yeow she’s put in the mahi and is on form!

Can’t wait to see you in action for round 2 on Sunday and stoked to have you as one of our guest coaches at the ladies track training day on Tuesday 20th! 💥

Stats from Round 1:

Two classes. Two quickest laps. A good day for Megx Kemp Racing . 👏

Megan topped both class best-lap lists at CFMOTO AMCC Round 1:

Ninja 400 Cup: 1:15.299
Junior Supersport 300: 1:15.381

Only 0.082 seconds separated those two times, both recorded in Race 4.

Some well-earned Round 1 bragging rights.
