I was saddened to hear of the death of my friend Peter Blank, I first met him over 30 years ago when I was working at Beacham Jaguar in Hastings and purchased my first (of many) Jaguar triple SU carb setups from him, and more recently a few bodyshells and other Jaguar parts.
Peter was so generous with his vast knowledge and has given me a lot of advice; both Jaguar and Business over the years.
RIP Peter, we will all miss you dearly...

Peter Blank (1948-2024) was a self-taught mechanic, innovative engineer, and a parts salesman.

I took my SWB S2 4.2 off the road 7 years ago to do some work on the engine, it is now back with a rebuilt engine and new warrant of fitness so legally on the road.
This was a one family owner car prior to me and still has the original tool roll and wool carpets.
This will be a regular drive car, and also used to test items I stock and used for development of new items in the future including suspension and brake upgrades.
I have fitted polished face XJS wheels for daily driving, and have chrome sculptures with white wall tyres for best dressed.
The paint is a bit ratty, especially on the top surfaces but is mostly original so I will leave it as it is for now.
I love XJ's!

I took my 4.0 Sport out for a spin at the weekend, it was a lovely day, and these are a fantastic car, the AJ16 is a joy!
I have just completed a major service, regular servicing and top quality oils are a must!
