Have just handed the key back to the owner of this 79 series land cruiser.
- Full drive in drive out swap. Out with the manual and in with the ZF8hp.
- Built box by us to hold the torque.
- Using the Maxx ecu we have managed to keep this about as simple as possible. It selects drive modes depending on load, amount of time above certain drive conditions, manual or auto.
Retains the full 2wd High 4wd high and 4wd low.
This swap fully changes the truck from a pretty average manual box to a late model auto.
In future we look to add some torque reductions and throttle blips but for now watch the videos and see the shifts.
