Happy Saturday, Wellington!
Wet, wet, wet — just like the famous 80s band! It’s been a couple of wild days around the region that’s for sure. Throw in a power cut or two, plus fences down and Wellington lives up to its crown of windiest city in NZ. I hope you have all come through relatively unscathed.
This weekend brings some action to the waterfront, with Sunday’s Wellington Marathon passing right by and through part of Harbourside Market. Expect some changes as runners/walkers pass us on Cable Street and loop through the market on their return along the waterfront. Its business as usual though. Make sure you cheer them on as it looks like a challenging day to run.

Partial Road Closures (Sunday, 6am–12pm)
• Customhouse Quay, Jervois Quay, Cable Street (Railway Station to Oriental Parade)
• Seaward lane closed only.
• Limited vehicle access into Barnett Street Car Park as participants are passing.
• Marshals will guide vehicles in and out between races.
• Pedestrians can still cross Cable Street.

To help everyone see all the goodness, we’re slightly rearranging the market layout to keep our northern vendors cozied up.

Morning Wellington!
Hope your weekend has been amazing. It certainly was last night with a home victory for the Hurricanes. Wellington certainly turned it on and lived up to its reputation as the windiest city in Aotearoa. Well done to our team.
After some decent rain overnight, this morning has arrived calm and rainless at this stage.
It’s going to be a great day to get on down to the market for whatever goodies you are after plus there is a Hurricanes fan event just around the corner in Odlins Plaza from 11am.
As always, it’s a great place to spend some of your day, catch up with friends and enjoy what the market offers.

🐾 Meet Alfie – Our ! 🐾
Say hello to Alfie, a 11-year-old Miniature Schnauzer from Breaker Bay
He is currently being dog-sitted by Libby and Grant from Mt Vic as his owners Kathy and Trevor are away overseas.
Alfie’s all good hanging with whoever. He’s super friendly and a happy boy.
He loves all food and I am assured a very well behaved doggo. Apart from maybe sleeping on the bed when it’s free.
Alfie also is a very keen walker and loves exploring nature.
Libby and Grant have been visiting Harbourside Market pretty much every Sunday for the last 6 years.
What do they like about it? Everything!!
Great priced produce, sitting looking over the water enjoying dim sums, Montfoort and Mr Circle. Occasionally treat themselves to some cheese or pastries then home for a cup of tea.
Sounds like an awesome way to spend Sundays to me.

Happy Saturday Wellington!
Hope it’s been productive for you. Quite a bit of rain overnight at my place but seems to have calmed down now. Sun is even popping its head through the clouds as I write this.
Last Sunday was another pretty good day on the waterfront. Such a nice place to spend some of your day, catch up with friends and enjoy what the market offers.
Tomorrows also looking good with lots going on.
Andrew and Jo from Knife Edge Sharpening will be in their usual spot tomorrow. Bring anything you need sharpening, leave it with them for a bit while you enjoy the market, then collect. Easy.
Shevington Farm Free Range Eggs will be attending tomorrow. All going well they will be here weekly going forward.
