Here's what we actually do:

- Road test (before and after)
- Inspect all exterior lights
- Raise on hoist, full underbody inspection for leaks, damage, and wear
- Drain & replace engine oil, new filter and sump plug washer
- Check and top up all driveline fluids
- Inspect air, fuel, and cabin filters
- Lubricate driveshaft and steering/suspension components
- Check steering and suspension for play or wear
- Inspect all tyres and inflate to correct pressures
- Inspect brake system for wear and performance
- Check cooling system, belts, tensioners, and idlers
- Inspect wipers and washer operation
- Battery and charging system check
- Complete your service book and reset the service reminder

When life throws something at you, the last thing you should be worrying about is your car.

We picked it up, sorted the WOF, left a courtesy car, and brought it back - no fuss.
If you need us, we'll find a way.

Here's the full review from Brenda:
The fact that due to an accident and being hospitalised, I was unable to take my car to the garage for a WOF. When I phoned to ask about my car being picked up, I was told that was no trouble.

Not only was the car picked up and delivered after the WOF, but there was a car left for me in case I needed one. I couldn’t ask for any better service than that.

All the details of the WOF were explained to me. That happened twice, the first time my car failed the WOF and all the problems were explained to me.

I couldn’t have been treated with more respect and totally helpful.

A big thank you to all the management and staff.

Meet Taine 👋

How long have you been a mechanic? I started my apprenticeship in 2021 at Mercedes Wellington; however my first mechanic job was when I was 16.

Are you from Whitianga originally, or where did you move from? I’m originally from South Africa, lived in Westport briefly and moved to Wellington to pursue my apprenticeship.

What do you love about living/working in Whitianga? My favourite part of living in Whitianga is being close to my family again and being able to sail and surf.

Favourite thing to do outside of work? Outside of work, I sail around the bays and camp on a boat, I also crew on a sailboat that races here in Whitianga.

Best part about being a mechanic? The workshop environment, cracking jokes, impromptu remixes of songs and working with like-minded people to solve problems.

Most interesting repair you’ve worked on? Diagnosing a noise on a new EQA, had myself and another tech hanging out the doors with stethoscopes listening to the suspension.

What do you drive? I drive a Lexus 330

Some news from us - James is off to Feilding this week to compete in the UFBA National Road Crash Rescue Challenge.

This is where firefighting teams race against the clock to get patients out of simulated road crashes. Go get 'em James!

Then from the 13th, James and Rebecca are both off to Fiji for the Auto Super Shoppes Conference 🌴 (someone's gotta do it).

Will still be open but running with fewer hands than usual. Back and fully up to speed from the 19th!
