Comfort makes life easy, but discipline makes you stronger.

Growth begins when we choose to do what is difficult instead of what is convenient. Every sacrifice, every struggle, and every moment of exhaustion can teach us resilience, build character, and prepare us for greater responsibilities.

JUSTICE PREVAILS: PNP ARRESTS 7 MOST WANTED SUSPECTS IN SEXUAL CRIMES, VAWC CASES

The Philippine National Police (PNP), under the command of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., arrested seven Most Wanted Persons in separate operations across the country on September 2 and 3, 2026, involving serious sexual crimes and violations of Republic Act No. 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act.

On September 3, police arrested four Most Wanted Persons in Isabela, Agusan del Sur, Valenzuela City, and Zamboanga del Sur. The arrests involved a No. 4 Most Wanted Person at the provincial level of Police Regional Office 2 (PRO 2) for violation of RA 9262, a bailable offense; a No. 6 Most Wanted Person of Police Regional Office 13 (PRO 13) for two counts of Statutory R**e, with no bail recommended; a No. 8 Most Wanted Person of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) for seven counts of RA 9262 violations and service of sentence; and a No. 8 Most Wanted Person of Police Regional Office 9 (PRO 9) for R**e, with no bail recommended.

Separately, Police Regional Office 10 (PRO 10) arrested three Regional-Level Most Wanted Persons on September 2: alias “Arlie,” 21, No. 9, for R**e in Valencia City; alias “Sidro,” 56, No. 2, for four counts of Statutory R**e in Jimenez; and alias “Van,” 29, No. 1, for four counts of R**e in Iligan City, all with no bail recommended.

The seven arrested persons are now under police custody for documentation and proper legal disposition following the implementation of warrants of arrest issued by the courts.

The arrests reinforce the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly Enhanced Managing Police Operations, by strengthening efforts to locate wanted persons and bring them before the law.

“We will remain relentless in pursuing individuals wanted for serious crimes. Our police units will work within the law to locate them and ensure that they face the proper judicial process,” said PGEN Nartatez.

“Patuloy nating tututukan ang mga kasong kinasasangkutan ng karahasan at pang-aabuso. Ang bawat warrant ay ipatutupad at ang mga akusado ay haharap sa proseso ng batas,” he added.

As the PNP strengthens its pursuit of wanted persons and protection of victims of serious crimes under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., it assures the public of “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.”

CAMP SK PENDATUN, PARANG, MAGUINDANAO DEL NORTE — Police Regional Office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO BAR) personnel seized 250 master cases of suspected smuggled WALTON ci******es worth approximately PHP14 million during a joint anti-criminality checkpoint in Parang, Maguindanao del Norte, on September 1, 2026.

At about 11:40 AM, joint personnel of the 3rd Mobile Platoon, 1401st Field Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 14-A, Tactical Support Company-A, H32 Marine Company Maguindanao, Marine Police Station, Regional Intelligence Unit 15, and Parang Municipal Police Station, in coordination with the Bureau of Customs (BOC) and other concerned law enforcement units, intercepted a blue HINO wing van truck at the Duran Checkpoint, Sitio Duran, Barangay Sarmiento, Parang.

The vehicle was found loaded with suspected smuggled ci******es, prompting the arrest of its two occupants and the seizure of the vehicle and its cargo for proper documentation and verification.

An on-site inventory conducted in the presence of the arrested individuals, a media representative, and barangay officials yielded a total of 250 master cases of WALTON ci******es, with an estimated value of PHP14,000,000.00.

The subject vehicle and confiscated ci******es were placed under police custody and will be properly documented and turned over to the Parang Municipal Police Station for appropriate disposition.

A case for violation of Republic Act No. 12022, or the Anti-Agricultural Economic Sabotage Act, and other applicable laws is being prepared for filing against the concerned individuals.

The successful interception underscores PRO BAR’s intensified efforts to curb the movement of smuggled goods through strategic checkpoints and sustained coordination with partner law enforcement agencies.

PRO BAR remains steadfast in its commitment to protect legitimate businesses, safeguard government revenues, and strengthen the enforcement of laws against smuggling and other forms of economic crime in the Bangsamoro region.

SWIFT POLICE RESPONSE RESCUES 8-YEAR-OLD HOSTAGE IN ILOCOS SUR

A swift and measured police response led to the safe recovery of an eight-year-old child who was held hostage by an armed suspect in Alilem, Ilocos Sur, on August 29, 2026.

Responding to the distress call, personnel of the Alilem Municipal Police Station promptly proceeded to the area and found the suspect barricaded inside a bedroom with the child. Police negotiators immediately engaged the suspect in dialogue, carefully managing the situation to protect the child and prevent further harm.

Through sustained negotiation and a controlled police intervention, the child was safely released and immediately provided first aid for a wound on the right leg. The victim was subsequently brought to a local hospital for medical attention and appropriate psychological support.

The suspect was taken into police custody and will face appropriate charges in accordance with law and due process.

Chief, PNP Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. commended the responding personnel for maintaining composure and prioritizing the safety of the child throughout the incident.

“In a situation like this, every second matters, but so does every decision. Hindi kailangang madaliin kung ang kapalit ay mas malaking panganib. Our officers showed that patience, proper coordination, and sound judgment can save a life,” PGen Nartatez said.

The successful response reflects the PNP’s Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO) under its PNP Focused Agenda, emphasizing responsive, coordinated, and professional police action in situations requiring immediate intervention and careful decision-making.

The PNP continues to strengthen its capability to protect vulnerable sectors and respond effectively to emergencies, consistent with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to uphold public safety while respecting the rights and dignity of every person.

This latest accomplishment reinforces the PNP’s commitment to “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman,” where every police response is anchored on protecting lives, serving communities, and delivering security that people can feel.
