Tesla Philippines has updated the Model Y L, and it is now quicker: 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, half a second faster than before, thanks to an acceleration boost update. The six-seat SUV keeps its up to 681 km WLTP range, and the price is unchanged at P2.849 million.

Barclays upgraded Tesla to Overweight from Equal Weight on Monday and raised its price target to $450 from $370. Analyst Dan Levy cited a possible Tesla/SpaceX combination premium, auto growth returning this year, and energy storage shipments growing over 50% in 2027. No merger has been announced; Tesla and SpaceX have only formed committees to explore a possible combination.

Tesla has started building its first production-quality Optimus humanoid robots at its Fremont, California factory, the company said in its Q3 update on Oct 21. Tesla calls it early production, with output expected to ramp slowly, and is targeting 20,000 robots a week by the end of 2027. The milestone came as Q3 net income fell 43% to $787M on higher AI and robotics spending.

Tesla and SpaceX form committees to discuss a possible merger

Elon Musk disclosed on Oct 21 that independent-director committees at Tesla and SpaceX have been set up to discuss merging the two companies. He declined to share further details. The news lifted both companies' shares on Wednesday, with Musk's wealth back near $989 billion, per Forbes.

FACT or MYTH: patay na daw ang EV battery after 3 years, parang phone battery lang.

MYTH. Ayon sa data ni Tesla, Model 3 at Model Y Long Range batteries lose lang ng around 15% capacity kahit after 200,000 miles. Plus 8-year warranty pa nila, guaranteed at least 70% capacity.
