Preparing the bike for the The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride 2026, I decided to go in a different direction this year.
The biggest change so far is the front end. I’ve replaced the original setup with a complete upside-down fork assembly from a Kawasaki ZXR. Forks, triple tree, wheel, brakes, aiming for a solid upgrade in suspension, braking performance but also style.
As expected, it wasn’t a plug-and-play swap. The triple tree stem had to be redesigned and machined to properly fit the BMW frame, but in the end everything came together exactly as it should.
Mechanically, the setup is now spot on. Next step: adapting the electrical side to match the new front end.
Still a bit of work to go, but the goal is clear — ready in time for DGR 2026, with a fresh look.
