On June 24, 2026, Maxwell Andrews, Chair of AmCham Saudi Arabia’s Sports, Tourism, Entertainment & Culture (STEC) Committee, participated in a high-level roundtable discussion in Miami hosted by DLA Piper and organized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The event brought together a distinguished Saudi delegation, including Abdulaziz Baeshen, CEO of the Saudi Olympic & Paralympic Committee, and Abdulrahman Bakr from the Ministry of Investment, to explore the Kingdom’s rapidly evolving sports ecosystem.
The discussion highlighted Saudi Arabia’s ambitious vision for the future of sport, with a focus on increasing community participation, developing world-class athletes, attracting major international sporting events, and expanding the infrastructure needed to support long-term sector growth.
A key topic of discussion was the recently launched Team Saudi brand and its potential to foster strategic partnerships and global engagement. As the Kingdom continues to elevate its presence on the international sporting stage, Team Saudi represents an exciting platform for collaboration and investment.
Participants also explored the continued evolution of Saudi Arabia’s sports investment landscape, including regulatory and commercial developments that are strengthening private sector participation and accelerating the professionalization and commercialization of the sector.
The roundtable also provided an opportunity to reconnect with colleagues from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and engage with leaders from DLA Piper and Parsons Corporation, reinforcing the value of international dialogue and cross-sector collaboration in advancing shared objectives.
