On this nasty day we're thinking of our favorite factory race cars. This COPO Camaro (Central Office Product Order) is a very unique car. GM at the time forbade any cars being produced in 1969 with an engine over 400ci. Because of Don Yenko and others ordering larger engines like the 427 for their dealer hot rods, Chevy decided that it would get in on the action and sidestep this regulation by offering the fleet order code for an all aluminum 427 usually designed for work trucks for the COPO Camaro. These Camaros had no heat or working radio, since they we're primarily designed as turn-key race-day drag cars, but when you have a hot, sweet sounding, solid lifter all aluminum 427 at your feet, who needs talk radio?
