Summer Maintenance Checklist

A few things to check and be aware to keep your vehicle running smoothly.

* Tire Pressure- Check the recommended PSI .
Heat can cause pressure to rise.
Proper inflation prevents blowouts.

Be aware of tread depth.

* Brakes- Listen for squealing or grinding noises, and pedal feeling mushy.

* Coolant- Inspect levels when the engine is cool.
Top off to prevent overheating.

* Belts and Hoses- Check belts and hoses for signs of cracks or brittleness caused by summer heat.

* Oil and Filters- Ensure your engine oil is full and not over the recommended mileage change time.
Fresh oil helps keep your engine cool.
Check filters and have replaced when needed.
Air filters, Cabin filters especially.

* Battery- Heat accelerates internal corrosion and fluid evaporation.
Scrub away any crusty white corrosion around terminals.

* A/C System- Your A/C should be blowing ice cold and airflow strong.

* Wiper Blades- Check for cracks or streaking when in use.
