Mazda and Yazaki Bring Manufacturing Innovation to the All-New Mazda CX-5! 🚗

Mazda Motor Corporation and Yazaki Corporation are taking a major step toward smarter, more sustainable vehicle production. Their collaboration has introduced a new wire harness manufacturing method in the all-new Mazda CX-5, combining automated production with manufacturing closer to vehicle assembly plants.

The results are significant: the number of wire harness variants has been reduced by approximately 80% compared with the previous-generation CX-5. The approach is designed to improve production and logistics efficiency, strengthen supply chain resilience, and reduce environmental impact.

Both companies plan to apply the lessons learned to future vehicle models, advancing manufacturing innovation and more sustainable production. 🌱
