Big things are coming to Hooligan Speed, and this one is going to push us well outside our comfort zone.

We’ve been working behind the scenes with this customer for months, getting parts ordered and making sure everything is here long before the build starts in January. That’s how we like to tackle projects of this size—plan ahead so we can focus on building, not waiting.

Now for the surprise…

It’s a big wheel build.

If you know us, you know that’s not typically our style. But here’s the thing—we don’t build cars based on trends, we build them based on passion. And when a customer has the kind of enthusiasm this one does, we’re all in. Our goal is simple: build the absolute best big wheel car we can. No shortcuts. No compromises. Just a true show-stopper.

Here’s a taste of what’s going into it:
• Full QA1 Big Wheel Suspension System
• 24s or 26s (final wheel choice coming soon)
• Blueprint Engines Supercharged LS427
• 847 horsepower on the dyno… and we’re willing to bet that’s a conservative number.
• Gear Vendors-equipped 4L80E transmission
• Quick Performance rear end built to handle every bit of that power

This is going to be one wild ride, and we’ll be documenting the entire build from day one. Whether you’re into pro-touring, restorations, drag cars, or big wheels, we think you’re going to enjoy watching this one come together.

🏖️ The Shop Lights Are Off… For Now.

After countless hours behind the sewing machine, it’s time to trade thread and vinyl for a little vacation.

A Stitch In Time Upholstery is officially on vacation and will reopen June 30th.

We’ll respond to messages and estimate requests as soon as we return.

Thank you for keeping us busy and supporting a small family business. We can’t wait to get back and start creating again.

The wait is over!

What started as a bare shell is now one of the cleanest Scout interiors to leave the shop.

• Distressed brown and cream leather
• Tan German square weave carpet with distressed brown leather binding
• Custom door panels
• Hand built headliner with white leather
• Matching visors and dash pad
• Color-matched green accent stitching throughout
• Handcrafted details from front to back

The goal was never to make it flashy. It was to build an interior that looked like it belonged in the Scout from day one while adding the craftsmanship and comfort it deserved.

The kind of interior that makes you open the door, take a step back, and admire it before turning the key.

🚨 WARNING: Interior Envy Ahead. 🚨

This 70’s Scout just got a serious upgrade.

Fresh German square weave carpet wrapped through the entire interior, accented with distressed brown leather binding and finished with color-matched green stitching that ties everything together perfectly.

The goal wasn’t flashy.

The goal was to build something that looks like it could’ve rolled off the showroom floor this way… only better.

This is just the beginning. More details are still on the way.

🧵 Finished up this 1974 Oldsmobile Cutlass Salon interior and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

✔️ Full custom white leather interior
✔️ Custom sewn pleated seats, door panels, and rear panels
✔️ Recovered dash with blue accent stitching
✔️ Simple center console with cup holders
✔️ Custom package tray with pressed mesh speaker grilles
✔️ RetroSound head unit
✔️ All new front and rear speakers

The goal was to keep the classic Oldsmobile styling while adding a few modern touches for comfort, convenience, and sound quality.

Awhile back Evan Friesth asked me to do a console lid to match his headliner and King Ranch seats. Then he asked if I could do his new steering wheel since the company didn’t have a color close enough. It’s nice when I get finished installed pictures of some of the small projects. Thanks for sending them so I can share!!!
