Ladies and Gents....

I want to send out a hearfelt THANK YOU to some people.
THANK YOU to my little buddy Amber Curry for preparing and donating 4 raffle baskets for the benefit that we had yesterday. She has built, owns and runs Tay's Concessions out of Polk, Ohio.
If you are looking for a food wagon, she currently has 15 of them! I have known Amber for many years and she is amazing.

THANK YOU to Larry Cunningham and Tonya Drum ... dear friends of ours. They saw my post and went shopping. The bought all of the good stuff to make Bloody Mary drinks! That basket was a hit with everyone there!

THANK YOU to my amazing and incredible little brown eyed girl... my partner and wife, Barb Ratliff
She bought and gathered the goods to make 3 different baskets. The creativity and compassion she showed for this has me still shaking my head.

I need to mention that NONE of these dear people had ever met my friend Cheryl Lynn McAnany . They got involved anyway. These are good, solid and honorable men and women. I love them all.

And, of course... Scott Wall who donated his time, money and his facilities. He organized, planned, promoted and hosted this benefit. It would have been so much easier for him to have agreed to let the family and friends use his bar for this and sat back but he didn't do anything like that.
He was involved in nearly every single aspect of this!
As an added bonus, he was convinced to play his bagpipes for us. He came out in his kilt and played. Then he played Amazing Grace in honor of our lost friend.
The route that he arranged as the poker run was nothing less than incredible! Beautiful back roads, small bars as the stops and amazing weather!

We raised some $$.
We made a couple of new friends.
We we able to see what happens when just a few people care and follow through.

We will be delivering the raffle baskets to the Village Tavern in Massillon tomorrow (Friday May 29th. )
Our benefit is Saturday. We are riding the bike to the benefit and will not be able to take any with us on the day of.
I will probably head out around 6:00. If you would like to donate a raffle basket to help, please have them here by 5:00 or let me know and I can pick it up.
