Happy Monday! We hope that everyone had a great & safe 🎇 4th of July holiday!

First off, we can’t thank Dave Richer with Rocket Tire Services enough for the amount of time & effort he has put in with us on making some improvements on the wheels. Thank you again Rocket Man! 🚀

We are very pleased to say that we finally have the new wheels exactly where we want them‼️ The wheels are true, they are anodized, they are still a 1 piece wheel with no welding of 2 halves together and there won’t be any tires coming off of them (which was more of a tire issue than anything) without a bead breaker.

Please see the video (not the best quality as I was recording a FaceTime) of Dave mounting up a tire. There will be some pics in the comments for you to see as well.

We are hoping/planning to have these wheels ready to ship to all of our dealers by September.

Again, we are sorry for the delay but we were not putting out a sub par product. It was perfection or nothing and we feel we are there. Thank you for your patience while we navigated this process. Stay tuned, the wait will be well worth it!

Good Morning & Happy Monday!

We wanted to give everyone an update on our wheels because we truly believe in being completely transparent with our dealers and customers.

Before acquiring the company last November, we were proud GTR Wheel dealers because we believed the quality and aesthetics were excellent. That said, both Michael and I felt there were a couple of areas where we could make an already great wheel even better, so we got to work.

The first improvement was changing the finish from powder coating to anodizing. That was a fairly straightforward change, and after receiving and testing the samples, we were extremely pleased with the results. That change has now been finalized.

The second improvement and the one that has taken considerably more time was redesigning the bead seat, where the tire sits on the wheel. While discussing options with the factory, they sent us an initial design that wasn’t what we were looking for. The second design was closer, but we still weren’t completely satisfied. We had a few sets produced and shipped to us for testing, and unfortunately, they didn’t meet our standards.

Rather than settling, we went back to the drawing board.

Since then, we’ve developed an entirely new design that we’re very excited about. Those wheels should be arriving any day now for another round of testing. We have very high expectations, and if everything performs as planned, we expect to move into production within the next week or so.

If all goes according to plan, we anticipate having wheels in stock sometime in September.

While we know this isn’t the update everyone was hoping for, we want you to know that we’re 100% committed to bringing the best product possible back to the market. We’d rather take a little extra time now than release a product that doesn’t meet our expectations, or yours.

We’re working hard behind the scenes every day, and we can’t wait to get these wheels into each and every one of your hands and onto your karts.

All of us here at GTR Wheels are in just as much shock as the rest of you are after learning the news of KB’s passing. He was the fiercest competitor on the track but from a distance appeared to be an amazing husband, father, son, brother, teammate & so on. As a father myself to a racer, I can appreciate what Kyle was doing with Brexton and it’s been a lot of fun to watch and follow along with. We are praying for Kyle’s family during this tragic time and in their future as well. Rest in peace KB. 🏁
