Projector Retrofits in bikes can be tricky! 😳

The sharp cutoff line design of aftermarket projectors can be a direct issue with motorcycles using them at night. Since you have to lean into a turn, you end up dipping your beam pattern left or right as a result, meaning you would be turning into the dark with no visibility of what's ahead during the duration of your turn. While this is true with any headlight beam pattern, the issue is amplified with how sharp the cutoff line will be.

Many OEM headlights on motorcycles have reflector headlights to eliminate the sharp cutoff, or unique projectors with specific patterns made to combat this issue. If you are looking to upgrade the headlights on your motorcycle and have considered something custom like a projector retrofit, be sure you take this into consideration!
