Pictured here with me is my friend Tracy, of Jeff’s Towing. Tracy is a huge animal advocate; she recently saved and bottle fed a tiny kitten and has helped countless more. Tracy has a big, kind heart. 🐱

Tracy donated this purse, to be auctioned at our annual conference, the proceeds of which will support our scholarship fund.

Today and everyday, Tracy is my hero. Thank you for your support, my friend!

Mater was adopted today by a fantastic girl who works at the bank. He will join an older kitty sister and he will be adored forever.

A guy at the restaurant at lunch had a crying cat stuck in his vehicle engine bay of his Ford Expedition. Another customer came in alerting everyone. The man wasn’t worried about it. I took him a business card and told him we world get it out free of charge and keep the cat if he followed us back to the shop. The cats sibling fell out and he ran it over. This little guy survived and he’s doing ok. A quick trip to the vet and he can now see since Doc cleaned his eyes. He has a URI and sinus infection but Doc Weimer got us in right away. He weighs less than a pound. Approximately 2-3 weeks old but his life will be better now that he’s safe and around people who will take care of him. Now we need a name.

Today we made the decision to let Maxwell go.
Rob said it best when he said Max is one of the best we’ve ever had 🩷
He was clumsy and often ran into things head on. He had stitches and staples multiple times.
He loved everyone, especially kids and even though he didn’t feel well the past month, he managed to make it into a play fort with visiting kids.
The only thing Max didn’t like was the garbage truck who came and stole garbage from us every week. He made sure to let the garbage man know he was watching.
Max had chemo for 6 months last year and went in for treatment every week as happy as could be.
When max came to us at a year old, he was very underweight. I promised him I could put weight on him and he had an endless supply of snacks and treats until the end.
The only thing Max loved more than food in this life, was me. We were bestest buddies. Til we meet again bud…

So many people have come to say their goodbyes and spoil Max. We are grateful for each of you. Max is still here but today is definitely a rough one. Thank you to each of the people who have made this hard season of life a little easier. Our small community is definitely the best. 💕
