Well everyone, our Lake LBJ docks seem to have survived the Llano river flooding over the last week, which we are eternally grateful for! Our team has been hard at work over the last 48 hours removing debris as it gets caught along the docks to help relieve pressure on the structure, but we are asking everyone to please refrain from using the docks until at least MONDAY.

Our dock experts are coming by Monday morning to evaluate the integrity of their structure to make sure all is well and they are safe to use. Once we get a green light from that crew we will post an update that they are once again open to the public.

Thank you for understanding, and shout out to LCRA for their incredible water management over this last week – many boats, docks, homes and lives were saved thanks to their preparedness and taking appropriate action!

This week is officially Pass the Handle Week – a time when the entire watersports industry comes together with one shared goal: get someone new out on the water!

If boating, surfing, skiing, wakeboarding, or simply spending time on the lake has had a positive impact on your life, this is your reminder to share that experience with someone who hasn’t had the chance yet. Invite a friend, a neighbor, a coworker, or a family member who’s never been behind the boat. Teach a beginner. Pull someone up on skis for the first time. Create a memory they’ll never forget.

That’s how our boating community grows – one invitation at a time.

With the weather we’re seeing across Texas, many of us may not get the opportunity to celebrate on the water this week. Pass the Handle isn’t just a week; it’s a mindset we believe in all season long.

(We know that this week/weekend may not be an option given the current weather in our area - so here’s your reminder that if the lake you boat on is seeing any floodwater runoff or unsafe conditions, please be patient.
