2022 Ram 2500 with a built 68RFE getting dialed in the right way.

No ECM swap needed on this one. We unlocked the factory ECM through HP Tuners so it can accept full engine and transmission tuning while keeping the stock ECM in the truck.

This setup is running a 100HP single tune with stock idle, paired with proper 68RFE transmission tuning to help the built transmission live and perform the way it should.

Transmission tuning setup:
160–225 PSI line pressure
225 PSI lockup pressure
60 PSI resting idle pressure
120 PSI exhaust brake / engine brake pressure
Firm shifts
3rd gear full lockup
Under drive Pulse Turned Off

A built transmission is only as good as the tuning behind it. Proper pressure, lockup, and shift strategy are what keep these trucks driving strong.

2022 Ram 2500 6.7 Cummins 68RFE in for the full setup.

This truck came in for an ECM swap and was tuned through EZ-Lynk with cruise control switch-on-the-fly. No extra switches, no clutter, just clean factory-style control through the steering wheel.

Power levels are set up like this:

Level 1 β€” Lope Idle / Stock HP
Level 2 β€” Rumble Tow / +50 HP
Level 3 β€” Stock Idle Light Tow / +100 HP
Level 4 β€” Rumble Sport / +150 HP
Level 5 β€” Hiss Idle Max Effort / +200 HP+

We also paired the engine tuning with custom 68RFE transmission tuning. Increased line pressure, firmer shifts, raised shift points, better converter control, and full lockup strategy to help the transmission hold power better.

Tow/haul mode gets 2nd gear lockup, while normal mode gets 3rd gear full lockup. The truck also has increased torque converter gain, higher pressure per gear, and 90 PSI constant at idle.

Unlocked shifts are also built into the file, meaning the converter unlocks during the shift and relocks once the shift is complete for a cleaner, more controlled shift.

A good tune is not just about making power. It’s about making the truck drive better, tow better, shift better, and live longer.
