The Medina at 173S is on its way back down. This surge peaked at 15.86' at approximately 7:45p. It was at 15.47' at 8:45p.

A Flood Watch remains in effect through noon Friday. There is still potential for life-threatening flooding with a likely additional 2-4 inches rain tonight and possible pockets of up to 8 inches.

5p: First street is closed at Cypress Street and Schmidt Road was just closed. There may be a 2nd surge after this one.

The surge moving down The Medina from North Prong is expected to come into town soon. Please be aware of your surroundings, if you live or are traveling near the river.

More rains expected tonight that are similar to the others we have seen this week. Exact path and intensity is unpredictable.

We are completely saturated so it will not take much to flash flood.

Plan accordingly. Be patient. Stay put.

The Medina river has risen for the 3rd time in 2 days. The river is now very wide and powerful! We are all safe.
