Very busy week at Filchner’s Garage. It’s hard to keep up at times but everyone tells me busy is good lol. I’m so grateful to be able to do this full time and live a dream I often thought about for a long time!

Just because a part doesn’t work doesn’t mean the part is faulty. Check your power and ground circuits first because the part might just be good after all. We don’t just throw parts at the vehicle here we actually fix what’s wrong the first time, not the 10th time 😊

This is a prime example, as to why I don’t replace parts, on codes alone. With proper diagnostic, and testing, I found out the problem to be: a bug, making its home on the Mass Air Flow sensor element, causing skewed readings. Cleaned MAF sensor, and no more rough idle. This Nissan Juke, is fixed and ready to be picked up by the customer, without paying $300 for a new sensor.

Very busy last couple of weeks here at the garage. Here are a couple of the many jobs we had in.

02/06/2026

One of today’s jobs that we had in the shop.
‘08 Chevy Express 3500 in for radiator replacement/coolant flush. Diagnosed why blower fan wasn’t working which was a faulty blower motor itself and a driverside headlight replacement.

Proper Diagnostic is key at Filchner’s Garage. Unfortunately we live In a world where alot of garages would just throw parts at a vehicle just on fault codes alone. This 2020 Jeep Cherokee was dumping out fault codes for active shutter communication. Our experience here at Filchner’s Garage is to always test and verify the problem at hand before any parts are replaced.

These direct injection engines really make a mess of carbon buildup after only 65k miles. Walnut blasting really makes them look like new again 👍

This misfire wasn’t the easiest to diagnose but we found it after some deeper investigation. This Ford 5.4L 3 valve spit the rocker arm off its 1 intake pedestal causing a misfire only on heavy throttle load.🤦‍♂️ Customer is very lucky it didn’t wipe out the intake camshaft lobe.

Upgraded the headlights on this Peterbilt. What a difference in light output compared to original.

What driving around with a dead misfire will do to you’re vehicles catalytic converters!! Diagnosed and repaired misfire fault but unfortunately for this customer it was too late and damage was already done.
