⚠️ Help Us Keep the Marina Powered & Safe!
We've had a significant increase in dock breakers tripping—sometimes multiple times each day. In most cases, the cause is preventable. Even a little morning dew or light rain can create enough moisture at extension cord connections to trip the GFCI breakers that protect everyone on the docks.

Please help us by following these simple best practices:

✅ Use one continuous extension cord whenever possible.�Every additional connection between cords is another place where moisture can enter and trip the breaker.

✅ Keep cord connections off the floor of your boat.�Avoid letting plugs and connectors sit in standing water or where they can collect rain or dew.

✅ Never wrap extension cords around the metal dock poles.�The movement of the docks and boats causes the cords to rub against the steel, wearing away the insulation. This exposes the wiring, creates a serious fire and shock hazard, and often causes breakers to trip.

✅ Inspect your extension cords regularly.�Please do not use cords that are frayed, cracked, have damaged insulation, loose ends, or illuminated ("lighted") plug ends. These types of cords are common causes of nuisance breaker trips and may present a safety risk.

Our electrical system is designed to protect you, your family, and your boat. When a breaker trips, it's usually doing exactly what it was designed to do by detecting a potential electrical hazard.
