A quick heads-up from your friends at Bellingham Automotive: roadwork around the county could affect your commute, errands, or mountain adventure.

🚗 Around downtown? Watch for changes on the Roeder Avenue Bridge through approximately Oct. 30. People riding bikes will be sharing the vehicle lanes, so leave extra room.

🌙 Traveling I-5 at night? Expect overnight lane closures near Alger/Lake Samish this week. The northbound ramps at Exit 240 are scheduled to close from 8 p.m.–5 a.m. Tuesday night, Oct. 20, and Wednesday night, Oct. 21.

🏔️ Heading toward Artist Point? Build in a few extra minutes. Work between Silver Fir Campground and Artist Point may mean short traffic holds from 7 a.m.–4 p.m. through Friday, Oct. 23.

Pack a little patience, follow posted signs, and help everyone—including the crews working beside the road—get home safely. ❤️

💡 Use low-beam headlights. High beams reflect off the fog and can make visibility worse. Turn your headlights on so other drivers can see you, too.

🚗 Slow down and leave extra space. Give yourself more time to react and stop safely.

📱 Keep distractions away. Changing visibility calls for your full attention.

🌬️ Keep your windshield clear. Use your defroster and wipers as needed to maintain your view.
